Rintama High is a closed-community (CC) roleplay game on Roblox, which means access is restricted and requires an application. This guide covers everything you need to know to join the community, create your original character (OC), and understand the wave system.

What is a Closed Community (CC)?

A closed community roleplay is a private server environment that restricts public access. Instead of joining instantly, players must apply and be accepted. Rintama High uses this system to maintain an immersive, high-quality roleplay experience with dedicated participants. The developer has stated that a free, non-CC public version is planned for a future release, but the CC version will retain exclusive lore and features.

How to Join Rintama High

There are two verified methods to access Rintama High:

Method 1: Wave Application (Paid)

  1. Join the o7 Delinquent Cafe Roblox group.
  2. Join the official communication server (Discord) to stay informed.
  3. Purchase a wave pass for approximately 50 USD.
  4. Take proof of your purchase.
  5. Open a support ticket with your proof to gain access.

Method 2: Free Version (Planned)

The developers have announced a free, non-CC version of Rintama High. This version will be open to everyone but will not include exclusive lore and features available only in the closed community. No specific release date has been announced.

The Wave System Explained

Waves are monthly application results for players who want to join the CC without paying. Here is how the wave process works:

  • Message Requirement: You must send 250 messages in the official Discord server before applying.
  • Activity Matters: Being active and engaged in conversations improves your chances of passing.
  • Monthly Review: Applications open monthly. The community checks whether you have met the message requirement.
  • Check Your Progress: Search your name in the upper-right corner of Discord to see how many messages you have sent.

Creating Your OC (Original Character)

Rintama High is a realistic roleplay. Your character must fit the setting. Here are the verified rules for OC creation:

Nationality & Age

  • Your character must be fully Japanese. Foreign or mixed-nationality characters are restricted to Patreon supporters.
  • Your character must be under 20 years old.

Appearance Restrictions

  • No albino characters. The setting aims for realism, and albinism is considered too rare for the general population.
  • Dyed hair is allowed — but be aware that Class 1-C has a dyed-versus-natural hair dynamic.

Backstory Rules

  • No super-edgy traumatic villain backstories. Avoid characters who are supervillains, mass murderers, or unrealistic anti-heroes.
  • No gang-affiliated parents. This includes parents who are yakuza, crime bosses, or organized crime members.
  • No "both parents died + billion yen" tropes. Extremely wealthy orphaned teenagers are not allowed.
  • No "beat up a famous fighter in childhood" stories. These are considered unrealistic power fantasies.
  • No divorced parents trope. This has become overused in applications and is discouraged.
  • Two-faced OCs are discouraged unless written with exceptional depth and quality.

Character Creation In-Game

Once accepted, you create your character in-game by copying and pasting item IDs from the Roblox Marketplace into the character creator. This allows for deep customization using Roblox's existing catalog of hairs, faces, and accessories.

Platform Support

Rintama High is primarily designed for PC players. Mobile support is limited:

  • The game is not fully mobile supported at this time.
  • Mobile players need external equipment: a Bluetooth keyboard, mouse, and adapter.
  • Console players can use the same adapter method as mobile.
  • It is unclear if native mobile support will be added in the future.
