Rintama High Combat Guide
Rush combos, finishing blows, evades, guards, and lock-on — everything you need to master melee combat.
Rintama High features a real-time melee combat system built around rush combos, finishing blows, evades, and guards. Whether you are defending your class honor in a hallway brawl or training in the RINTAMA: Training Grounds, understanding the combat mechanics is essential.
Combat in Rintama High blends skill-based melee with tactical positioning — knowing when to rush and when to guard separates winners from losers.
Combat Controls Overview
These are the verified combat controls from the official RINTAMA: Training Grounds game page:
| Input | Action | Description |
|---|---|---|
| M1 | Rush Combo | A rapid sequence of melee strikes. The bread-and-butter offensive tool. |
| M2 | Finishing Blow / Blows | A heavy attack that deals significant damage, often used to end a combo or punish a guarded opponent. |
| E | Evade / Quickstep | A quick dodge that lets you avoid incoming attacks and reposition. Timing is critical. |
| F | Guard | Blocks incoming melee damage. Holding guard drains stamina over time. |
| Space (Hold) | Lock On / Off | Holding space locks your camera onto a target, keeping them centered during combat. |
| G | Enter / Exit Combat | Toggles combat stance. Outside combat you can sprint, emote, and use freecam. |
Combat Strategy Tips
- Open with M1 Rush Combos. Rush combos are fast and apply pressure. Use them to test an opponent's guard and force a reaction.
- Punish with M2 Finishing Blows. When an opponent drops guard or whiffs an attack, land a finishing blow for heavy damage.
- Evade, don't just guard. Holding guard too long will break your posture and leave you stunned. Use evades (E) to create openings.
- Lock On for 1v1s. Holding Space keeps your target in frame. In group fights, you may want to unlock to scan threats.
- Exit combat to reposition. Press G to drop combat stance, sprint away with Shift, then re-engage on your terms.
Training Grounds
The RINTAMA: Training Grounds is a separate Roblox experience by the same developer where you can practice combat without the pressure of a live RP server. It supports up to 120 players and has over 230,000 visits. Use it to learn timing, test combos, and master evades before fighting in the main game.
